Amanda Fowler, LCSW
Amanda Fowler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado. She completed her bachelor’s degree at The University of Massachusetts, followed by her Master of Social Work at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work.
Amanda has spent much of her career working in oncology in a variety of settings. Amanda has extensive experience working in cancer non-for-profit organizations educating patients, caregivers, and the public about oncology and its effects on families. She has worked at the University of Colorado Anschutz Cancer Center providing Social Work services and running support groups.
Amanda comes to Shift with an eclectic approach to therapy. She utilizes techniques from different modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Amada enjoys focusing on Post Traumatic Growth and end of life care. Most importantly, Amanda feels that it is important to meet a person where they are, and build a strong therapeutic relationship.
