    • Alison Lieberman, PsyD

    Dr. Lieberman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Colorado. After completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at University of Vermont she obtained a Master of Arts (MA) and Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) from the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship in behavioral medicine at the Miami VA Medical Center and her postdoctoral training at NYC Health and Hospitals Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center.

    Since returning to Denver, Dr. Lieberman has worked at Denver Health Medical Center and is an instructor at the University of Colorado in the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In her different roles she has been a clinical supervisor, mentor and instructor for both medical residents as well as all levels of psychology trainees.

    Dr. Lieberman has focused her career on the intersection of physical and mental health; exploring the biological, psychological and social factors that impact well-being. She has worked in a variety of medical settings gaining specific training in integrated primary and specialty care. Dr. Lieberman’s recent clinical experiences include oncology, chronic medical conditions and palliative care, women’s health issues, as well as bariatric surgery/weight issues. Using a trauma-informed lens, Dr. Lieberman applies behavioral and interpersonal approaches to therapy including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions.

    Focusing on the needs of the individual and creating a collaborative therapeutic environment, she has a deep passion for helping individuals achieve emotional wellness fostering resilience and empowerment.
